Brick can be used to create a cohesive blended color scheme or to create contrast that enhances the architecture of each home.
Omega uses King size brick, which is the same height as a standard brick and features a greater overall length. Each brick is designed to optimize coverage and engineered to increase air flow, reduce weight, and make installation easier without compromising integrity.
There are three main brick types: smooth, distressed and painted. Smooth is identified by clean edges and a relatively smooth surface. Distressed has added texture on the surface of the brick with more color variation. Painted can be smooth or distressed but the predominant feature is paint added to the surface.
Mortar is the binding paste that is used to fill gaps between bricks and secures them in place, making up 15-20% of the visible surface. While there are many mortar options for brick, gray is the most common and is Omega's exclusive color choice. The neutral color offers a subtle look that blends well with all of our brick selections.
It is important to note that colors can vary between a brick sample and the installed brick. When looking at brick samples the bright clay colored edges are visible. However, once brick is installed on a home, the mortar is now covering the edges, taking away the bright clay contrast.
