Energy Efficiency Excellence

The Proof Is In Our Performance

1.      A Higher Energy Standard.  We see to it that every home, from design through construction, is continually tested and inspected for quality that meets or exceeds the rigid energy standards of the national ‘Energy Star’ program.  This translates into added value for you because you save everyday on the cost of utilities.

2.      We ‘Build Beyond Code’ Because We Take Energy Savings Seriously.  Energy costs are skyrocketing with the high price of oil and it seems unrealistic to believe energy costs will come back down.  Instead, we assume energy costs will go up and we’re building energy efficient homes to meet the challenge.

Energy features can be so difficult to deal with later, after the home is built, so we’re building beyond code and setting new standards for energy efficient homes, to drastically reduce energy costs for new Omega Homes.

3.      Steps We Take to Protect Homeowners From Rapidly Escalating Energy Costs:

a.       Better Design.  Before construction begins, our staff of professionals carefully review the home design, components, and specifications to maximize energy efficiency.

b.       Higher Sealing Standards.  We have established higher standards specifically aimed at reducing potential sources for conditioned air leakage and infiltration of unconditioned air.

c.        Energy Conservation Checklist.  Our professional’s complete check-lists, during each phase of home construction, for compliance with the highly acclaimed ‘Energy Star’ program.

4.      Any Builder Can Claim They Build Energy Efficient Homes… We Prove It!  The efficiency of all equipment, building components, house tightness, and duct tightness for each Omega Home are vigorously inspected and verified by a Certified Home Energy Inspector before the home is certified as a ‘100% Energy Star’ home.

5.      Omega ‘SuperStar’ Construction…  A Custom Building Option.  Buyer’s interested in super energy efficiency, should consider the Omega ‘SuperStar’ program.  This highly successful program provides energy savings of up to 70% by upgrading ‘Energy Star home requirements with increased air conditioning efficiency, foam insulated roofs and polystyrene foam Insulated exterior wall construction.

The Omega ‘SuperStar’ system roughly doubles exterior wall insulation value and at the same time provides a 200 mile per hour wind storm safety barrier.  The foam-insulated roof increases insulation value while providing condition attic spaces, for greater efficiency of attic located air conditioners and ducts.
