Health & Environment

  • Clean air is the foundation of good health. Minimizing humidity and air pollutants such as dust, pollen, and allergens in your home is achieved by combining tight sealing of the living space, proper ventilation, and efficient HVAC and air filtration systems.
  • A home's environmental impact can be greatly improved by optimizing resources during construction as well as reducing consumption of resources to operate and maintain a home.

Resource Efficiency

  • Incorporates more natural, recycled or renewable materials.
  • Uses more locally available products reducing transportation impact.
  • Includes more 'Engineered Wood Framing Systems' which are built more efficiently and recycle waste.
  • Means incorporating durable, sustainable products with long life cycles, lowering the impact on land fills.

Water Efficiency

  • At least 36 states are anticipating water shortages by 2013.  By using water more efficiently, we can help preserve water supplies for future generations, save money, and protect the environment.  Many water-conserving products are affordable and do not require a change in lifestyle.
  • Saving water saves Energy!  It takes a considerable amount of energy to deliver and treat the water you use every day.  For example, letting your faucet run for five minutes uses about as much energy as letting a 60-watt light bulb run for 14 hours.

Energy Efficiency

All Omega Homes are
ENERGY STAR Certified.

  • An energy efficient home will reduce energy bills, effectively reducing the Cost Of Ownership.
  • In addition, less energy consumption means a reduction in harmful emissions associated with energy production.
  • Energy efficient equipment combined with new insulation technology can reduce heating and cooling costs by 50-70%.
